Tomorrow night, voters across Utah will gather for caucus night, one of the most important (and often overlooked) steps in choosing our political leadership. If you care about protecting life and keeping strong pro-life, pro-family voices in office, we need you there.
Here are the simple steps you can take to be involved, and why it matters:
Step 1: Find Your Caucus
First, register to attend your neighborhood caucus here:
It only takes a minute. Once registered, you’ll receive the location and time of your caucus meeting.
Step 2: Run for Delegate
Once you've registered, you'll see the option to run for a precinct position. You can run for multiple positions.
You will need a short declaration of candidacy (it doesn't need to be fancy).
That’s it.
Why This Matters
Far-left groups and organized labor unions are actively mobilizing their members to attend caucus meetings and fill delegate seats. Delegates play a powerful role in deciding which candidates advance in elections.
If pro-life voters stay home, others will make those decisions for us.
What Is a Caucus?
A caucus is simply a neighborhood meeting of voters. At the meeting, attendees:
- Meet neighbors and discuss issues
- Hear from people who want to represent the community
- Elect delegates who will represent the neighborhood at county and state conventions
These conventions are where many candidates earn the support they need to appear on the ballot.
What Does a Delegate Do?
Delegates represent their neighborhood at party conventions. They vote to decide which candidates move forward in the election process
Delegates have a real voice in who becomes our elected officials.
Don’t Be Intimidated — Anyone Can Run
Running for a delegate seat is simple and does not require any special experience.
Often, there are more open seats than volunteers, which means many people who run are elected on the spot.
If you believe in protecting life, your voice is exactly what is needed.
The Bottom Line
The people who show up tomorrow will help decide who represents Utah voters in the next election cycle. If pro-life voices are absent, the movement loses ground.
Please take a few minutes to register and attend your caucus tomorrow night.
