I got pregnant out of wedlock...it was a scary and extremely difficult time....abortion was never an option. Then the doctors told me that my baby had spina bifida and might only live for a few minutes after birth...if he even survived until birth. Abortion was not an option.  Aiden is now 16 years old! Perfectly healthy and a "normal" teenager! Just got his drivers license and is looking for his first job.

Along came baby #2. The alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) test told me my baby had a 1 in 3 chance of having Downs Syndrome. The topic of abortion came up in my doctor's office...my doctor had to legally give me all my options. I told him, abortion wasn't ever an option with my son, it would never be an option for my daughter.  He hugged me and we both cried. (He is still my doctor.) Hailey is 13 years old...loves to read, write and ride horses. She is a happy,  healthy, "normal" teenager. 

Both have a future and a hope at life. Life isn't promised to be easy or successful...but they have that chance. They have the choice now to live their lives. They were given life. God has blessed me with these amazing kids! I am their mother. I have protected them outside the womb just as I did while they were in the womb....before I ever even laid eyes on them I loved them. Abortion was never an option. Life is not ours to give or take. Only God's.
